The Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools (MSA-CSS) is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a reliable authority as to the quality of education or training provided by the postsecondary vocational education and nurse education institutions it accredits.

The MSA-CSS has two distinct Commissions, the Commission on Secondary Schools which accredits secondary as well as post-secondary, non-degree granting institutions and the Commission on Elementary Schools accrediting Pre-K through 12th grade. Therefore, MSA-CSS accreditation for post-secondary, non-degree granting institutions (P.I. Art Center currently is in candidacy) is equivalent to WASC accreditation and NEASC-CTCI (New England Association of Schools and Colleges – Commission on Technical and Career Institutions) accreditation.

P.I. Art Center has been approved as a Candidate for Accreditation by MSA.
