Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission is to transform every student, even those students with no or limited previous art experience, to become highly trained, disciplined, and well-prepared students for American higher education and Professional career in art. At PI Center, our focus is to establish a strong foundation for students worldwide to further grow as prominent artists in the challenging global market. Many gifted international students face many great difficulties when they first begin their education in the U.S. Yet few American art institutions have dedicated resources and expertise to offer personalized guidance and assist these students.

ABOUT PI ART CENTER
Art Center focuses on art education for college preparation. PI was founded in 1986 under the name of Phil Art Studio in New Jersey. It opened its New York city campus in 2005. By 2009, PI Art Center became an institution authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. Today, PI Art Center is a SEVIS-approved, non-degree granting, private, proprietary, prep school dedicated to educating students who both want to attain the necessary fundamental art skills and basic knowledge to discover their creative and artistic abilities and ultimately will be pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts by providing foundation art courses.

The PI program (Core/BSA/Advanced) is designed to transform every student, even those students with no or limited previous art experience, to become highly trained, disciplined, and well-prepared students for American higher education. As a result of PI program, many international students have been accepted to and attend a prestigious American art institution.
CORE curriculum is designed for students with no or limited previous art experience, and it will allow them to be exposed to various forms of visual arts. Through 5 different concentrations, or genres, (Fine Art, Digital Media, Photography, Architecture, and Fashion), students will discover their true interest and artistic talent in a specific art field. They can then pursue their BFA degree in their selected field. Through this curriculum, students will attain the necessary fundamental art skills and basic knowledge to discover their creativity and artistic abilities as they work in a wide range of two-and three dimensional art media.

By training to close the competency gap and be better prepared for American schools, we are building a strong pool of highly qualified students to American Art schools. PI is committed to providing many of highly skilled and motivated students to enter Art career to keep Art Industry moving forward and continue to expand globally.
